After several years working as a graphic designer, I felt the need to return to a more personal, freer artistic practice, and I now devote myself to portraiture.
I work with a mixed-media technique combining pigments, charcoal, and textured materials. Today, I paint the faces of people I encounter by chance during my travels to distant places—fleeting strangers who, on paper or canvas, become intimate presences. Each portrait is a way of telling the story of an encounter, of capturing a gaze, a story that has touched me. My work is nourished by these moments of sharing, wonder, and discovery, somewhere between a travel journal and a journal of the soul.
