About the work
François Vigorie came to an international reputation because he carries out transparent sculpture using an astonishing and innovative concept of direct cutting. In his sculptures, he exploits the contrast between the absolute harshness of an extremely smooth optical crystal block and the violent erosion of the sand projected which deeply frosts the glass to shattering point.
