Stéphanie Ferrat was born in 1972 in Aix-en-Provence.

She graduated from the Aix-en-Provence School of Art in 1997.

Stéphanie Ferrat develops a body of work attentive to the oscillations of the living, navigating between earthly recordings and celestial harvests, questioning the furrows of the world with a gesture both powerful and delicate. Vegetation, animals, rocks, and territories, she traverses natural registers through a pictorial practice made of pigments, imprints, and traces.

She is also the author of poems and the founder of a fine press publishing house, les mains.
