The memory of the ocean - this is the artistic leitmotif of Claude Giorgi. Specifically, this means: the colour blue and fish in constantly renewed and surprising variations.
Through countless dives, the artist learned to love the fascinating beauty of the submarine world, so much so that he felt compelled to give artistic expression to this experience using items retrieved in the sea and on shorelines.
Giorgi views the sea as a symbol of human subconscious and the fish as a silent mediator towards the conscious.
In Mediterranean culture, to which Giorgi belongs, the fish symbolises happiness and hope, while the colour blue expresses spirituality and silence.
