Important bibliography

Her painting :

« I wanted to paint what you cannot see,
The breath of live,

The living of shapes, blooming of coulours and their melting. »

Zao Wou- Ki

Anne Pourny made hers these thoughts of the great Chinese painter. She soon discovered the Zen philosophy and was amongst the first Europeans to enter Mao’s China. The artist paints hills shaped like clouds, according to Yogis thoughts of masses falling in the sky, above and below are reflected mutually. Anne Pourny’s vision of nature is similar to Zao Wou-Ki’s – meditation, maturation.
